In your letter dated August 6,1981, you requested relief from your commitment to modify the control circuitry of the main feedwater and bypass regulating valves at Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit flo.1. This commitment was made in your letter dated February 23, 1981, and referenced in our letter dated April 29, 1981.
i The staff has determined that the related review of this subject under I&E Bulletin 80-06 should be completed before a final position is adopted.
Theref6re, any modifications to the control circuitry of the main feedwater and bypass regulating valves at lyour facility should be delayed and yourare hereby relieved of your commitment to sedify these circuits during your next scheduled refueling outage.
The results of the review of your respcase to I&E Bulletin 80-06 and any modification requirements will be provided by separate correspondence after completion of that review.
