. ji r V November 7, 1981 Dear Sir -

We urgently request the U.S. Government to open an independent investigation intb possible design errors at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. Recent disclosures that the wrong blueprints were used would be shocking enough in any nuclear power plant -

they are even more so in this one built right next to an earthquake fault.

Apparently faulty designs, slipshod construction, and drugged out workmen at nuclear power plants are quite common (see enclosure).

Northern Illinois is the most heavily nuclearized area in the world -

we are deeply concerned by the dangers we are exposed to out of sheer incomptance, negligence, and corruption in addition to those inherent '

in even well built and managed facilities. We certainly believe that an industry wide investigation into design and construction standards is called for. We are hoping you will help initiate this.

Sincerely -

Leur Tom Falve~y h
