Dear Mr. Denton:
In reviewing the South Carolina Electric and Gas (bmpny (SCE&G)
October 16, 1981 subnittal, Mr. Jared Wermiel of the NRC requested that the emergency procedure for plant shutdown fran the control roan evacuation snel be revisal to isolate the flow pth of unborated water frun the reactor makeup water systen. As discussed with Mr. Wermiel, this letter provides the SCE&G cannitment to revise procedure EOP-8 " Control Room Evacuation."
Since the nlant operators, those responsible for revisiin plant procedures, are currently involved in the hot functional test program and preparing for their oral licensing exams schedulal to start next week, the procedure revision will not be mxle in time for suhaittal with this letter. This procedure will be revisal prior to December 31, 1981, and, as discussed with Mr. Hermiel, will be available for review by the NRC resident inspector.
