This is in reply to your letter, dated August 27, 1970.
Your letter indicated that you desire that future NRC operating tests for operators and senior operators be administered in accordance with the procedures indicated in our letter, dated October 3, 1974.
Namely, that the applicant not be required to perform any control manipulations at the station or at the simulator.
Our letter indicated that an applicant had to meet three requirements s
to be eligible for this type of an operating test.
b*e believe that the requirements set forth in your program which we approved in a letter, dated August 20, 1975 and the requirements detailed in your letter vill assure that each applicant will be eligible for this type of exrtination. Therefore, future operating tests at Dresden sill not require an applicant to manipulate controls.
Applications for operator and senior operator licenses from individuals at Dresden should clearly indicate that they have complied with the conditions enumerated in our correspondence, k'e would be available to work with you, or a member of your staff, to develop a " standard application," should you so desire.
