We have reviewed the conceptual electrical plan for the, Dresden 1 liPCI system submitted by your letter dated June 16, 1975, for confor ance to the single failure criterion. Based on the infomation provided, we conclude that the conceptual plan, if implemented in confornance with present criteria for these systems, will provido HPCI systen end onsite emergency.systsis power assuming a singic failure coincident with a loss of offsite power. Therefore, the singic failure criterion is satisflod@nthe pruposed modifications to the onsite AC power supply system will satisfy that portion of the August 5, 1974 Order requiring
" modifications to remove the vulnerability to failure of single pr.ritt power sources."
Ihe scope of our review included only the conceptual electrical plan as described in your letter. The acceptability of the final design will depend on irplementation of the conceptu-1 design in confor ance with the applicable criteria as spec.!fied in Chapter S of the NRC Standard Peview Plan.
