The Committee agreed to schedule the following for discussion during the February 6-8, 1992 ACRS meeting.

1.

meeting to discuss matters of general interest with Mr.

Beckjord, Director of RES.

A list of topics for discus-sion with Mr. Beckjord was approved by the full Committee during the December 1991 meeting.

2.

Proposed Power Level Increases for Operatina GE Reactor Plants (Open) (IC/PAB) SCHEDULED TIME:

1 1/2 hours-General Electric Company has submitted two licensing topical reports to the NRC staff that provide the bases l

for power level increases for operating GE reactor plants.

Most plants have the potential for power upratings from 5 percent to 15 percent without major hardware modification.

As a result of an agreement with the NRC staff, the licensees will not request power increases higher than 5 percent. During the October 1991 ACRS meeting, it was agreed that lead responsibility be I

transferred to the Thermal Hydraulic Phenomena Subcom-mittee.

During the December 1991 ACRS meeting, Mr. Carroll proposed to decide on the need to hold a subcommittee meeting to discuss this matter after the relevant documents have been provided to the ACRS.
