SUBJECT:

PROPOSED RULEMAKING CONCERNING ThE ACCESSIBLE AIR GAP FOR GENERALLY-LICENSED DEVICES On October 23, 1991, the proposed amendments to 10 CFR Parts 31 and 32 concerning the accessible air gap for generally-licensed devices was distributed to the Offices of NMSS, OE, ADM, OGC, and GPA for concurrence. A copy was also sent to the Office of the Controller for coordination of resource issues.

The Office of the Controller concurs in the Commission paper including the Regulatory Analysis, with the attached corrections. Resources to conduct this rulemaking are included in the Nuclear Safety Research program in the FY 1992-1996 Five-Year Plan (subactivity 13 on page IV-127 and rule #264 on Table IV.2).
