.6 OPERATING LICENSE Pursuant to Section 50.90 of the Regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, holder of Facility Opemting License No. NPF-69, hereby mquests that i
Table 1.2, " Operational Conditions," and Specification 3/4.9.1, " Reactor Mode Switch," of the Technical Specifications set forth in Appendix A to that License be amended. The proposed c!wiges have been resiewed in accordance with Section 6.5 of the Technical Specifications.
The pmposed changes to the Technical Specifications are set fonh in Attachment A to this Application. The change would allow a single contml rod to be moved when the plant is in the Hot Shutdown or Cold Shutdown Condition prosided that the one-rod-out interlock is OPERABLE and the reactor Mode Switch is in the Refuel position.
The proposed changes would not authorize any change in the types of effluents or in the authorizal power level of the facility. Supporting information and an analysis which demonstrates that the proposed changes invoh'e no significant hazards consideration pursuant to _10CFR50.92 are included as Attachment B.
WHEREFORE, Applicant respectfully requests that Appendix A to Facility Operating License No.
NPF-69 be amended in the form attached hereto as Attachment A.
