.This acknowledges the receipt of your letter dated March 12, 1990, by which you transmitted Revision 15 to the South Texas Project Physical-Security Plan.

The regional security staff have reviewed your plan change and determined the changes are consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p).

Portions of Revision 15 to your plan are administrative in nature and do not reduce the plan effectiveness.

Other portions of Revision 15 to the plan that reference chain of command of _ the security organization, training and qualification-respensibilities, compensatory measures requirements, vital area visitor access control, and the testing of hand-held metal detectors requirements were reviewed in detail and determined not to reduce the effectiveness of the plan.

- Accordingly, the changes are acceptable for inclusion into the plan.

The enclosures to your letter contain Safeguards Information of a type specified in 10 CFR 73.21 and are being withheld from public disclosure.
