INTRODUCTION The tornado danger at the plant' site is extremely remote.

The plant is designed to be capable of safe shutdown following a

" Maximum" ternado with a 300 mph total horizontal wind velocity. All Class I structures, systems, and components are protected from the "Maxirt.um" ternado.

The " Maximum" tornado conditions.are significantly higher than the maximum historical or crediP expected conditions at the site, i

DISCUSSION OF SYliPTOMS 1.1 Visual Sighting Of Tornado Near Plant Site.

The plant site is in immediate danger and an evaluation of the situation must be performed.

1.2 Notification That A Tornado Warnino Is In Effect Near The Plant Site.

This could potentially affect the plant site and should be investigated.

l 1.3 Tornado Str 4es Plant Main Switchyard, Sergice Water

-Cooling Tower Or Major Structure.

This could cause a loss of outside power or loss of the l

service water cooling tower structure.

1.4 Tornado Induced 10FC A major tornado could result in an interruption of forced cooling.

DISCUSSION OF OPERATOR ACTION t

l 2.1 Ensure Defueling activities terminated.

l Ensure Defueling activities terminated.

2.2 Sound fire alarm and evacuate all personnel to turbine building, Visitor's Center, or Records Storage Building.

The evacuation of all personnel to the above mentioned aress is to minimize the consequences of the tornado, to those people on site.
