VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 INSPECTOR FOLLOWUP ITEM 50 338/89 33-Q2 RESULTS OF H-3 SPIKED SAMPLE ANALYSIS As indicated in your letter of February 15, 1990, a liquid sample spiked with radionuclides was received at our North Anna Power Station on March 2,1990. The analysis was completed by March 21,1990, that is, no later than 60 days from receipt of the sample.

l The liquid sample has been analyzed for tritium (H 3) in accordance with your instructions. The analysis was performed with a liquid scintillation counter, as called i

for by station procedures. We found an activity of 1.65 x 10 4 Cl tritium per ml with an uncertainty of plus or minus 0.33 x 10 4 pCl /ml.
