INTRAGRANIfLAR STRESS CORROSION CRACKING (IGSCC) INSPECTION PROGRAM REVISION 2 By letter dated November 13, 1987, Consumers Power Company submitted Revision 1 to our Intragranular Stress Corrosion Cracking (IGSCC) Inspection Program for Big Rock Point. Item II.E. of the Program committed Consumers Power Company to amending the scope and schedule for IGSCC examinations at Big Rock Point for refueling outages beyond the 23rd Refueling Outage (1989). The purpose of this letter is to provide Revision 2 to Big Rock Point's IGSCC Inspection Program.

During the 1989 Refueling Outage, Big Rock Point completed their inspection of all accessible IGSCC susceptible welds in accordance with our IGSCC Inspection Program. Two of the branch connection welds and one flange-to-flange weld were unable to be examined due to their configuration. Big Rock Point has now completed its examination of all normally accessible velds'which are capabic of being examined (71 velds). These examinations were conducted during refueling outages from 1983 through 1989 and no indication of IGSCC was found.

Attachment I contains the revised Big Rock Point IGSCC Inspection Program as well as the revised IGSCC Susceptible Weld List.- Areas that have been revised are indicated by a vertical line in the right hand margin. This OC0490-0002-NLO4 hfh$b',
