McGuiro Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-369, 370 Inspection Report Nos. 369, 370/89-31 Notice of Corrective Action Delay Gentlement in my December 22, 1989 letter, " Reply to a Notico of Violation" for the subject report, I committed to you that McGuiro Nuclear Station would over torque the containment spray heat exchange gasket cover bolts to 200 foot pounds prior to April 1, 1990.
Since my letter, our Design Engineering Department has determined that this proload may be unacceptabic.
Pending further ovaluation and measurements by Design Engineering, McGuire will implement the proper torque on the bolts no later than the end of the next refueling outage for each unit (IEOC7 and 2EOC6) which are presently scheduled for August 1991 and September 1990 perspectively.
