This letter provides a supplemental
response to the Notice of Violation
contained in NRC Inspection Report No. 50-458/89-30 and is submitted at this
time per instructions by Mr. James A. F. Kelly. The inspection was initially
performed by Mr. Kelly on June 19-23, 1989 of activities authorized by NRC
Operating License NPF-47 for River Bend Station - Unit 1.
This supplemental
response updates corrective action taken to date for
activities described in Gulf States Utilities Company's (GSU) response letter
from Mr. J. C. Deddens dated September 20, 1989 for Unresolved Item 8930-03,
" Personnel Training and Qualification".
In accordance with 10CFR73.21, information contained in the attachment has
been determined to contain safeguards information and should be handled
accordingly.
