Outline for Vent Valve In-Situ O'perability Test This test will be performed in conjunction with the containment structural integrity acceptance test wherein the containment will be pressurized to approximately 55 psig.
While at this pressure, one of the 6" vent valves will be opened, maintained open for a time sufficient to attain steady state ficw condi-tions, and then closed.
Containment pressure will be monitored to ensure that pressure is maintained above 48 psig, the con-tainment design pressure, for the duration of this test.
This is conservative since the peak calculated pressure of the drywell following the design basis accident is 41.9 psig.

The valve selected to be tested will be operated remotely.
Valve position will be monitored via existing position indication in the control room.
The closing stroke of the valve will be timed to ensure that clcsure occurs within 5 seconds as required.
At the completion of this test the valve will be visually inspected.
The direction of flow during the test will be in the same direc-tion as would occur should the valve be called upon to isolate following an accident.
Based on the as-installed orientation of valve 1T46AOVO78B, flow will be in a direction that tends to open the valve (conservative).
The particular valve chosen to be tested will fulfill the above condition.
