Gentlenen:
This mfers to the inspection conducted by our Reactor Inspector, Mr. C. E.
Johnson, during the period October 13-23,1981, of activities authorized by
NRC Construction Pemits CPPR-126 and CPPR-127 for Comanche Peak, Units 1
and 2,and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. R. G. Tolson and other
senbers of your staff during the inspection.
During this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities were
not conducted in full compliance with NRC requimeents. Consequently, you
am required to respond to this matter, in writing, in accordance with the
provisions of Sectf on 2.201 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice ' Part 2
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations. Your response should be based on
the specifics contained in the Notice of Violation attached to this letter.
Details of this item will be included in an inspection esport to be issued
in the near futum and identified as Inspection Report 50-445/81-15;
50-446/81-15.
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased
to discuss them with you.
