Dear Mr. DelGeorge:
CParrish The Comission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.,71 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-39 and Amendment No. 65 to Facility Operating License No.
DPR-48 for the Zion Station, Unit Hos.1 and 2, respectively. The amendments consist of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your applica-tion transmitted by letter dated June 23, 1981.
These amendments revise the Technical Specifications to add requirements to maintain the water level 22 feet abcVe the reactor vessel flange and 23 feet above the top of the spent fuel assemblies in the spent fuel pool during movement of fuel in those areas.
Copies of the Safety Evaluation and the Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
