NRC Inspection Report 81-01
Dear Sir:
Two new procedures have been written and approved to ensure compliance with respect to the violations cited in Inspection Report 81-01.
The Notification Procedure has been written to provide guidance to the Critical Facility Staff for the proper notification of pertinent groups, agencies, and/or administrators for a broad range of abnormal event categories.
The second procedure addresses Appendix A, Part B of the violation notice. This procedure was written by the RPI Radiation Safety Director and has been approved by the NSRB for use on counting equipment deemed suitable by the Radiation Safety Director or his staff.
These two procedures provide protection from future violations of this type.
