Subject: NRC Inspection of Rancho Seco Modifications
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. G. Hernandez of this office
i
on September 29 - October 1, 1981 of sctivities authorized by NRC License
No. DPR-54, and to the discussion of our findings held by Mr. G. Hernandez
with Mr. R. J. Rodriguez and other members of your staff at the conclusion
of the ir.spection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the , inclosed inspection
report. Within these areas, the inspcetion consisted of selective examinations
of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and
,
observations ny the inspector.
No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified within
the scope of this inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Con.nission's regulations, a copy
of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the
NRC's Public Document Room.
If this report contains ary infomation that
you (or your cor. tractors) believe to be exempt from disclosure under 10
CFR) LS(a)(4), it is necessary that you (a) notify this office by telephone
within ten (10) days from the date of this letter of your intention to
file a request for withholding; and (u) submit within 25 days from the
date of this letter a written aoplication to this office to withhold such
inforn.ation.
If your receipt of this letter has been delayed such that
less than seven (7) days are available for your review, please notify this Iy
office promptly so that a new due date may be established. Consistent
with section 2.790(b)(1), any such application must be acconpanied by an

affidavit executed by the owner of the information which identifies the

document or part sought to be withhald, and which contains a full scatement
of the bcsis on which it is claimed that the infomation should be withheld
from public disclosure. This section further requires the statement to
address with specificity the considerations listed in 10 CFR 2,790(o)(4).
