Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Docket No. 50/395 Seismic Qualification Review Team SER Confirmatory Issue 1.7.21
Dear Mr. Denton:
In followup to our October 6,1981 letter, South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) hereby provides revised Seismic Qualification Review Team (SQRT) information for the equipment listed below.
- 1) Accoustic Leak Detection Equipment in our October 6, 1981. letter, SCE&G noted that qualification at the pickups and preamplifier would be completed in Summer 1982. At the request of the NRC, SCE&C clarifies this date to be September 1, 1982..
Justification for interim operation will be provided by November 16, 1981.
A SQRT sheet on these remaining items will be forwarded to the NRC when this testing is completed.
- 2) PAMS Indicators The seismic testing program is essentially complete. A meeting was held on October 7,1981, with Westinghouse, SCE6G and the instrument manufacturer (International Instruments) to review the test results.
We now anticipate providing the requested seismic information by December 31, 1981.
