Manager of Power 500A Chestnut Street - Tower II \\tu/
Chattanooga, Tenn. 37401 Gentlemen:
We have received copies of certain applications which the Authority filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (0NRR) for review. The applications were for various Technical Specification chan.;es and other items relating to Sequoyah Unit Hos. 1 and 2.
The OMRR staff have completed their final fee deteminations on these applications in accorceico with 10 CFR 170.12.(c) and 170.22. Enclosed is a list which shows the applica-tions, fees paid, fees that are applicable, and the basis for the ONRR staff's fee datamination on each of the applications.
It is nur understanding that no review was started on your March 31, 1981 application (identified as item 5 on the. enclosed list) for extension of the Ser.aoyah Unit No. 2 construction pemit and that no action will be necessary because the operating license was issued on June 25, 1981. On this basis, it has been detemined that an exemption, pursuant to 10 CFR 170.ll.(b), from the fee requirements of 10 CFR 170.22 is authorized by law and such exemption is otherwise in the public interest and is hereby granted for this application.
Based on the amounts paid and the ONRR staff's fee deteminations, a total of $4,800 is due the USNRC. Therefore, it is requested that this amount be remitted to our office.
I Sincerely,
, yp, c. h=a ram, 3, l
