ITNHfLY OPERATICES SLIflARY SEPIDEER 1981 2roughout the reporting period, the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station was shutdown for maintenance on the Shutdown Cooling Systen. An alternate cooling moCe using the Cleanup Systen and the Main Condenser Systen was in use during the report period. Startup is deperx3ent upon the results of maintenance and testing currently in progress.

%ere were tm occurrences identified during Sc;tarber which have been preliminarily identified as reportable.

On September 24, 1981, the AC Stean Valve for "B" Isolation Condenser failed to open during surveillance testing.

On Septarber 20 and 25,1981, three snubbers in the Shutdown cooling Systen failed to meet acceptance criteria during functional testing.

Inportant licensing considerations associated with refueling, e.g., new or different fuel design or supplier, unreviewed design or performance analysis methodc, significant changes in fuel design, new operating procedures:

General Electric fuel assmblies - fuel design & performance analysis methods have been approved by the NRC. New operating procedures, if necessary, will be subnitted at a later date.

2.

Exxon Fuel Ass mblies - No major changes have been made nor are there any anticipated.
