-0BJECTIVE 1.1 To visually check the operability of the CRD Accumulators.

2.

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA 2.1 All Accumulator Trouble Lights on Panel 905 shall be extinguished.

3.

REFERENCES 3.1 Technical Specification 4.3.D, 3.3.D.

4.

PREREQUISITES 4.1 The plant shall be operating at any pressure.

5.

INITIAL CONDITIONS None 6.

PRECAUTIONS 6.1 All procedure steps shall be coordinated with the Control Room Operator.

7.

PROCEDURE 7.1 Verify all the Accumulator Trouble Lights are extinguished on CRP-905.

l NOTE:

At all reactor operating pressures, a rod accumulator may be inoperable provided that no other control rod in the nine-rod square array around i.c. s rod has a:

1.

Inoperable accumulator.

2.

Directional control valve electrically disarmed while in a non-fully inser~ted position.

3.

Scram insertion greater than maximum permissible insertion time.

If a control rod with an inoperable accumulator is inserted " full-in" and its directional control valve is electrically disarmed, it shall not be considered to have an inoperable accumulator.

7.2 If an Accumulator Trouble Light is illuminated refer to Operating Procedure 302.8.1 for required action and disposition.

7.3 Record the completion of the Accumulator Trouble Check on the Control Room Daily Surveillance Log Sheet.
