Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine safety insrection conducted by Messrs. P. G. Guldemond

and R. L. Hague of this office on August 3-31, 1981, of activities at Point Beach
I
Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, authorized by NRC Operating Licenses No. DPR-24 and
No.DPR-27 and tc the discussion of our findings with Mr. G. A. Reed at the con-
'
clusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during the
inspect ion. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examina-
tion of procedures and representative records, observations, and interviews with
personnel.
No items of noncompliance with NRC requiremente were identified during the
course of this inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's
.

Public Document Room.
If this report contains any information that you or
)
your contractors beliue to be exempt from disclosure under 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4),

it is necessary that you (a) notify this office by telephone within seven (7)
i-
days from the date of this letter of your intention to file a request for
!
withholding; and (b) submit within twenty-five (25) days from the date of this
letter a written application to this office to withhold such information.
Section 2.790(b)(1) requires that any such application must be accompanied by
'
an affidavit executed by the owner of the information which identifies the
document or part sought to be withheld, and which contains a full statement of
the reasons which are the bares for the claim that the information should be
withheld from public discloaure. This section further requires the statement
