This refers to the inspcction conducted by our Resident Reactor Inspector,

Mr. T. E. Vandel, during the month of September 1981.

As a result of identifying a nonconforming condition on three separate

occasions du;ing the above noted period, it is detenniped that certain

activities under your license appear to be in violation of requirements

of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50 of the NRC Regulation, " Quality Assurance

Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants." This violation and reference to the

pertinent requirements are identified in the enclosed Notice of Violation.

Details of this item will be included in the IE Inspetion Report STN 50-482/

81-16.
