r, APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Florida Power Corporation Docket No. 50-302 Crystal River License No. DPR-72 As a result of the inspection conducted on June 3-4, 1981, and in accordance with the Interim Enforcement Policy, 45 FR 66754 (October 7 1980), the following violation was identified.
10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion V, as implemented by FSAR Section 1.7.6.-
7.1.e, requires in part, " Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings,...and shall be accom-plished in accordance with these instructions, procedures or drawings".
Contrary to the above, no documented instructions were prepared to prescribe the methods of identification of' masonry walls in the proximity of safety related equipment, or to prescribe the preparation of as-built drawings for masonry walls in the proximity of safety related walls for design re-analysis.
This is a Severity Level V Violation (Supplement I.E).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, you are hereby required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of this Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply, including: (1.) admission or denial of the alleged viola-tion; (2) the reasons for the violation if admitted; (3) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (4) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violaticas; and (5) the date when full compliance will be achieved. Consideration may be given to extending your response time for good cause snown.
Under the authority of Section 182 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, this response shall be sLbmitted under oath or affirmation.
