t Descriotion of Deficiency l
Two structural members purchased from ITT Grinnell are defective.
1 Unacceptable linear and rounded indications were discovered in the j
adjacent base material during routine dye penetrant examinations of these two members. The two members were purchased 'or use in the fabrication of ASME Class I pipe hangers. Because the dcficiencies were discovered before installation, there is no particu?ur ASME Class I piping system that is presently known to incorporate deficient pipe hangers.
Interin Progress TVA is in the process of evaluating the subject deficiency.
