Chrissotimos and S. G. DuPont of this office on July 1 through August 4, 1981, of activities at Quad-Cities Nuclear Power Station, l'aits 1 and 2, authorized by NRC Operating License No. DPR-29 and No. DPR-30 and to the discussion of our findim;s with Mr. N. J. Kalivianakis at the conclusion of the inspection. The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and represen- tative records, observations, and interviews with personnel. During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in noncompliance with NRC requirements, as described in the enclosed Appendix A. The inspection showed that action had been taken to correct the identified ne, compliance and to prevent recurrence. Consequently, no reply to these noncompliances is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter at this time. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report wi'l be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room. If this report cuntains any information that you or your contractors believe to be exempt from disclosure under 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4), it is necessary that yc,u (a) notify this office by telephone within seven (7) days from the date of this letter of your intention to file a request for withholding; and (b) submit within twenty-five (25) days from the date of this letter a written application to this office to witahold T60j such information.
