Gentlemen:
Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1 NUREG-0737 Item II.B.1, Reactor Coolant System Vents Item II.B.1 of Reference (1) required licensees to submit des'gn details for reactor coolent system high point vents. Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) originally addressed this concerr, in response to Item 2.1.9 of the Lessons Learned Task Force Short Term Recommendations, NUREG-0578.
In Reference (2), NNECO supported the position of the BWR Owners Group, Reference (3), that sufficient inherent venting capability already exists and that no further modi-fications are necessary. The purpose of this submittal is to re-iterate this position in order to fulfill the requirement of Reference (1).
Therefore, References (2) and (3) constitute NNECO's response to NUREG-0737 Item II.B.l.
No further work on this item is planned.
