Dear Mr. Tuckman:
The NRC staff has reviewed the subject topical report that was submitted by the Duke Power Company in support of its reload safety analyses for the Catawba and McGuire nuclear stations with the B&W Fuel Company's Mark-BW fuel. The staff has found the report to be acceptable for referencing in licensing applications subject to the conditions stated in the enclosed safety evaluation report, section 3.
Please provide a response that indicates how these conditions will be met.
This concludes our review activities in response to your submittals dated March 30, 1989, October 22 and November 28, 1990 under our TAC numbers 73771 and 73772.
