Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. T. M. Tongue,
M. J. Jotian and S. Stasek during the period of October 30, 1982 through
December 1, 1982, of activities at Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 1, 2,
and 3, authorized by NRC Operating License Nos.-DPR-02,.DPR-19, and DPR-25 and
to tha discussion of our findings with Mr. D. Scott and others of your staff
at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined'during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
,
examinacion of procedures and representative records, observations, and-
interviews with personnel.

No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified during the
course of this inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's-
Public Document Room.
If this report contains any information that you"(or
your contractors) believe to be exempt from disclosure under 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4),
it is necessary that you (a) notify this office by telephone within ten (10)
days from the date of this letter of your intention to file a request for
withholding; and (b) submit within twenty-five (25) days from the date o,f
this letter a written application to this office to withhold such information.
If your receipt of this letter has been delayed such that less than seven
(7) days are available for your review, please notify this office pro'ptly"

any such application must be accompanied by an affidavit executed by _t'ae
