APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Southern California Edison Compiny.

- As a result of the inspection conducted on November 29 - December 3, 1982, and in accordance with the NRC Enforcement Policy (10 CFR Part 2 Appendix C) 47 FR 9987 (March 9,1982) one violation was identified.
Technical Specification 4.6E states: "The stack gas and particulate e
monitors shall be calibrated at a minimum frequency of once every six months, and normal response of each monitor shall'be tested weekly." In addition Chemical Procedure 501-III-5.1.0," Calibration Schedule and Requirements for the ORMS" require radioactive material transfer calibrations for each channel at least every six months.
Contrary to this requirements, the stack gas and particulate monitors, were not calibrated at least every six months in accordance with 501-III-5.1.0 during the period January through November 1982.
This is a Severity Level IV Violation-(Supplement I).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, the Southern California Edison Company is hereby required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of this ' Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply, including: (1) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further items of noncompliance;land (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved. Consideration may be given to extending your_ response time for good cause shown.
