3runswick Stean Electric Plant,ifnits 1 and 2 This letter transmits the Safety Evaluation for the Environnental Qualification of Safety-Related Electrical Equirnent at your facility. This evaluation is based on your resnonse to our previous Safety Evaluation Report, dated June 13, 1981, and subsequent subnittals dated September 16, 1931, October 26, 1981, March 7,193?, and July 14, 1932. This Safety Evaluation presents the results of the Envirnnmental yunlification Review for safety-related electrical equipnent, exposed to a harsh environnent, in accordance with f:HC requirenents. t!e request that you provide your plins for cualification or replacenent of any of the equip-nent in 'IRC categories I.b, II.a and 11.5 (cresented in the Technical Evaluation Ronort) and the schedule for 3cconplishinq your proposed corrective actions to us within ninety (90) days of the receipt of this letter.
As indicated in the conclusion section of the Safety Evaluation, we request that you reaffirr the.iustification for continued operation and within thirty (30) days of recript of this letter, submit information for any itens in fiRC categories 1.b, II.a and II.b (presented in the enclosed Technical Evaluation Report) for l
ubich justification for continued operation was not previously submitted to the WC.
He suqqest that the clarification set forth in Iten 3 of Generic Letter "o. P? 09, " Clarification Questions and Answers on Environmental Qualification Recuirenents," should be considered in your justification for continued operation.
