Dear Mr. Denton:
As requested by the NRC Staff, South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G) is providing the following summary information concerning our Emergency Operations Facility (EC/).
1.
SCE&G's response to Generic Lett'er 81-10 was dated 6/1/81.
2.
Permanent EOF is~ located approximately 2.6 miles from the Reactor Building.
3.
Structure typd - concrete building (EOF in basement).
4.
Protection factor - greater than 5.
5.
Date construction started - (a) design and planning - 9/80.

(b) ground breaking 6.
Construction statns - st'Incture is essentially complete.
7.
EOF is served by a separate ventilation system with HEPA filters.
8.
Interim EOF
- Admihlstrative Of fice Annex --
approximately 1000 ft. from the Reactor Building.
Interim Backup EOF - SCE&G's Parr facility -- approximately-two miles from the Reactor Building.
