E WASHINGTON, D. C. 20555 s;

I 5~0 -443 s.... p October 1,1982 Ms. Diane Curran Harmon & Weiss 1725 I Street, N.W.

Suite 506 IN RESPONSE REFER Washington, DC 20006 TO F0IA-82-406

Dear Ms. Curran:

This is in response to your letter dated August 31, 1982, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), copies of CRAC and CRAC2 analyses, and records analyzing or commenting on the analyses, relating to the Seabrook Station.

This confirms the information relayed during separate telephone calls between Linda Robinson and you and your client, Steven Sholly, on September 16, 1982.

Mr. L. G. Hulman, Chief, Accident Evaluation Branch, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, maintains copies of CRAC computer runs on this plant, which are available for inspection at his office.

Mr. Sholly stated his intent to telephone Mr. Hulman (492-7763) to schedule a mutually convenient time for inspection of those records.

Additional records subject to your request relate to NRC's environmental review regarding the Seabrook Station.

In May, 1982, NRC published for public comment a draft environmental impact statement, NUREG-0895.

Copies of this NUREG report and certain related records are already available for public inspection at the NRC Public Document Room.

The staff is currently evaluating public comments and preparing a final environmental statement which is scheduled for publication in October 1982. Additional pertinent records related to activities of the Accident Evaluation Branch pertaining to the environmental review are identified on the enclosed appendix. We are placing these 16 records in the PDR for your inspection and copying.

The records will be filed in folder F0I A-82-406 under your name.

You may also wish to inspect folders F0IA-81-488, under the name of Robert Backus, and F0IA-82-155, under the name of E. T. Kinder, as well as correspondence from the State of New Hampshire (accession No. 811060570),

which relate to the subject of your request. Also, the staff has identified information presented on pages 2-10, 2-11, 3-14, and 3-15 of an attachment to an NRC letter dated September 30, 1981, to Public Service Company of New Hampshire (accession No. 8110150623) as being subject to your request.
