This office has received a copy of your November 16, 1978 application for amendment to Facility Licenses DPR-24 and DPR-27 for Point Beach Units 1 and 2 which you filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
The
_ application is for Technical Specification changes consisting of re-visions to the reactor coolant system heatup and cooldown limitation curves.
Your application was accompanied by a Class III fee of $4,000 for Unit 2 because you determined that it involves a single issue having no significant hazards considerations and a Class I fee of $400 for Unit 1 because you determined that while not precisely a duplicate of the Unit 2 application, it involves identical subjects and concerns.
We have determined from our preliminary review that the requested actions are for two Class III amendments totalling $8,000 because the requested changes will involve a separate review for each case although we might consolidate and issue as a single evaluation.
Duplicate fees are appli-cable when they meet all the conditions of Class.I and when the proposed amendment and review for one unit can be applied to another unit without a separate review being required for each unit.
You should forward the additional $3,600 promptly to this office.
