Mr. M. S. Tuckman's letter dated April 4,1991 stated the total ic.3tallation of Tufeline locking devices wi'l be completed by the end of the next planned outage for Unit 2 scheduled for November,1991. The Nuclear Station Modification (NSM) packages and Maintenance procedures required to install the Tufeline locking devices could not be prepared in time to install the deviccs on Unit I during the current outage.

Installation of the 1ccking devices on all identified Unit 2 valves will be completed by the end of the upcoming Unit 2 refueling outage (currently scheduled to end in December, 1991). Installation of the locking devices on all identified Unit i valves will bc completed by the end of the next Unit I refueling outage (cunently scheduled ic end in August, 199?).

An extension of the commitment date to August,1992 is requested.
