Request for Commitment Date Extension Gentlemen:

Mr. Hal B. Tucker's letter dated September 5,1990 stated locking mechanisms will be installed on- all valves outside of containment by the end of March,1991 and the expected date of full compliance will be no later than the end of the next Unit 2 refueling outage (approximately November,1991). The commitment to install locking devices on all valves located outside of containment by the end of March,1991 was incorrect. The commitment should have indicated the total installation of Tufeline locking devices will be completed by the end of the next planned outage for_ Unit 2 scheduled frr November, .

An extension of the March,1991 commitment date to the end of the next planned Unit 2 outage scheduled for November,1991 is requested.
