2) Response to Violation Dated July 6,1983 From Mr. F. L. Clayton to Mr. R. C. Lewis

Dear Mr. Lewis:

This letter refers to the violation in the referenced inspection report which states:

                        "10 CFR 55, Appendix A, Section 3.d requires each licensed operator review the contents of all Abnormal and Emergency Procedures on a regularly scheduled basis. Measures have not been established to assure that these requirements are performed. In addition, the frequency for accomplishing this requirement has not been established."

In the referenced response to this violation dated July 6,1983, it was stated that licensed personnel would review all Abnormal and Emergency Procedures on a two-year cycle in accordance with FNP-0-AP-45. It was determined that a two-year review cycle is inadequate. Therefore, a revi-sion was incorporated into FNP-0-AP-45 on July 28, 1983 which requires that all Abnormal and Emergency Procedures be reviewed on an annual basis.
