This referc to our scheduled meeting on June 22, 1983 at 1:00 p.n. to discess the NRC's Systematic Assessment of Licensee Per#ormance (SALP) for D. C, Cook, Units 1 and 2 for the period April 1, 1082 through March 31, 1983.
Mr. James G. Keppler end members of the NRC staff will prescat the observations and findings of the SALP loard. The more significtnt SALP Zoard findings are summariaed in Enc 1csure I.
The en:losed SALP Eepert which documents the analyses, cenclusions and recommandations of the SALP Board is fcr your review prior to the meeting.
Since this meeting is intended to be a forum for the mutual understanding of the issues and findings, you are encouraged to have appropriate representation at the meeting. As a minimum we would suggest that you, Mr. W. G. Smith, and managers for the various functional areas where problems have been identified attend the meeting. Any comments you may have regarding the SALP Report, as well as the SALP process, may be discussed at the meeting. Additionally, you may provide written comments within 20 days after the meeting.
Following our meeting and receipt of your written response, if any, the enclosed report will be issued. The letter issuing the report will provide you a characterization of your overall safety performance along with any appropriate supplemental information regarding the report.
