Docket No. 99900349/83-01 NOTICE OF NONCONFORMANCE l
Based on the results-of an NRC. inspection conducted on May 10-13, 1983, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in accordance with NRC requirements as indicated below:

Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50 states:
" Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be accomplished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.

satisfactorily accomplished."
Paragraph 3.H in Section QN12.0 of the Corner and Leda Company, Inc.
QA Manual, Revision 4, states, in part, with respect-to internal audits,
" Confirmation of corrected deficiencies-shall be accomplished by a followup audit within_30 days of the original deficiency report.... "
i Contrary to the above, the followup audits to confirm corrected deficiencies were not performed within the required 30-day period.
For Audit No. QN2.0 i
dated March 3, 1983, the followup was dated May 3, 1983.
For Audit Nos. QN11.0 dated November 18,1982, and QN12.0 dated January 4,1983, i
the followups were dated March 7, 1983.
