Dear Ms. Garde:

This is in further response to your letter dated February 15,1983, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act and the Privacy Act, copies of all drafts, Inspection Evaluation Reports, and comments on a July 19, 1982, report by James Keppler regarding the spe.cial safety inspection during May through July,1982, of activities at the LaSalle County Nuclear Station Unit 1.

By letters dated March 8 and 25, 1983, we provided partial responses to your request and informed you that staff members.were reviewing additional records. The staff has completed its review, and we are providing this final response to your request.

The 14 records identified on enclosed Appendix C are being placed in the NRC Public Document Room for your inspection and copying.

These records will be filed in folder F01A-83-89 under your name.

Please note that with regard to records identified at numbers one through six of Appendix C, we were informed by Region III staff that these records are drafts deliberately prepared with blank spaces.

With regard to records identified at numbers seven through ten on Appendix C, we have deleted comments on matters other than those_ covered by your request since these are outside the scope of your request.

This completes NRC's action on your request.

I.N. Jackiw, and others of the Region III and NRR staffs during May through July 1982, of activities at LaSalle County Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1, authorized by NRC Operating License No. NPF-ll.-

If any of the material covered by this request has been destroyed and/or removed, please provide all surrounding documentation, including but not limited to a description of the action (s) taken, relevant date(s), and justification for the action (s).

We request that the fees be waived, because " finding the infor-mation can be considered as primarily benefitting the general public."
