EVENT DESCRIPTION

On November 15, 1982 at 0200 hours0.00231 days <br />0.0556 hours <br />3.306878e-4 weeks <br />7.61e-5 months <br />, during the performance of LIS-RI-01, Steam Line High Flow RCIC Isolation Calibration and Functional Test, DPIS lE31-N007A setpoint was found out of tolerance in the non-conserva-tive direction per Technical Specification 3.3.2.

V.

PROBABLE CONSEQUENCES OF THE 0':CURRENCE:

At the time of the occurrence the reactor was in the Run mode producing 1575 MWT, 460 MWE.

DPIS lE31-N007B and 1E31-N013B setpoints were found within tolerance. These switchas would have isolated the Inboard Steam Isolation Valve IE51-F063 and the Steam Line Warm-Up Valve lE51-F076 had an isolation been required. Safe plant operation was maintained at all times.

VI.

CAUSE

This was an isolated incident. The cause of the setpoint drift is unknown at this time. The Differential Pressure Indicating Switch was manufactured by ITT Barton, Model 288.

VII. CORRECTIVB ACTION:

DPIS lE31-N007A was recalibrated on November 15, 1982 and declared operable.
