inoperable for greater than 24' hours.-
.On1 March 12,.1990,1a planned ma ntenance. outage of the 1E 'BS'.bu's-i
>was initiated'to complete a 5-year bus cleaning surveillance.- This'
~
outage rendered all -fire. detection system alarms'and pre-action?
sprinkler systems of-the. Units 2 and 3 fire protection cystem, inoperable since these systems are powered from.the 1E
'BS' bus.
However,~ temporary non-1E power was provided to the.'BS' bus during
- the outage'.
In addition, compensatory measures required by all.'the 1 Technical' Specifications associated with.the inoperable systems were
- provided, including ~' hourly-monitoring-of the-containment air s
temperatures for abnormal indications'in accordance with TS 3.3.3.7 Action (a.4).
l The fire detection systems and the spray / sprinkler: systems' for Units-i
- 2 ;- and 3 were returned to service on '. March 17,
- 1990, followings
