A routine safety inspection of your annual emergency preparedness exercise was

conducted by Mr. C. Gordon of this office and other members of an NRC team on
i
February 7,1990 at your Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 & 3, Delta,
i
Pennsylvania. Discussions of our findings were held by Mr. Gordon with Mr. Smith and
other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection
l
Report which is enclosed. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective
l
examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and
,
_ observation of the emergency exercise by team members. Within the scope of this
'
,
inspection, no violations were observed.
,
!
Philadelphia Electric Company's performance during the exercise demonstrated the
i
ability to implement the Emergency Plan and the Emergency Plan Implementing
l
Procedures in a manner that would provide adequate protective measures for the health
,
and safety of the public.
