ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT 110. 131 TO FACILITY OPERATlilG LICENSE NO.
c DPR YANKEE NUCLEAR POWER STATION (ROWE) (TAC NO. 75824)
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendrent No. "1 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-3 for the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (Rowe). This amendment is in response to your application dated January 18, 1990.
This amendment incorporates into the Technical Specifications modifications to allow the licensee to make certain changes in the Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS).
Redundant motor-operated Pressurizer Auxiliary Spray Valves are to be installed to replace the existing manually-operated valve. This change is implemented to provide enhanced safety grade auxiliary spray capability 1or periods when normal spray via the main coolant pumps is unavailable.
A copy of our Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. Notice of Issuance will be included in the Commission's biweekly Federal Register Notice.
