This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. B. L. Bartlett and

M. E. Skow of this office during the period January 1-31, 1990. This

j

inspection pertained to activities authorized by NRC Operating License

No. NPF-42 for the Wolf Creek Generating Station, and our findings were

discussed with Mr. J. A. Bailey and other members of your staff at the

conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during the inspection included plant status, opstational safety

verification, monthly surveillance observation, monthly maintenance

observation, followup of licensee event reports, and followup of a previously

identified NRC item. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective

examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with

.

personnel, and observations by t.he faspectors. The inspection findings are

,' documented in the enclosed inspection report.
