Dear Mr. Kovach:

The staff has completed its review of the analysis of tendon inservice inspections for LaSalle Units 1 and 2.

Based on Commonwealth Edison's' explanation of various conditions (i.e. lower

. wire strength', common tendon behavior, high temperature effect) and the staff's evaluation of prior. inspection results, the staff concludes that the contain-ment prestressing tendons at LaSalle Units 1 and 2 are in good condition, and that the containments are capable of withstanding the designated loadings. We, therefore, find your response to this issue to be acceptable and consider it closed.
