RTE' Corporation, Switchgear Division 99900703/81-01 NOTICE OF NONCONFORMANCE.
Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on September 14-17, 1981, it appears that certain-of,your activities were not conducted in accordance with NRC requiraants as indicated below:
Criterion.V of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50 states:
" Activities-affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or.
drawir.gs, of a type appropriate to the circumstances'and shall be accom-
.plished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.
Instructions, procedures, or drawings shall include appropriate quantitative or qualitative acceptance criteria for detennining that important activities have been satisfactorily accomplished."
RTE-Corporation. Quality Assurance Manual Section 16.0 " Corrective Action" states in part:
"All discrepancies found in the' inspection and test process shall be listed on the Inspcction Discrepancy List.
Each discrepancy shall' be corrected by an assigned workman, who shall initial the Inspection Discrepancy List in the ' Corrected by' column."
Contrary to the above, the majority of the discrepancies identified on the Inspection Discrepancy List for S0 10563, were not initialed as being corrected, however, the corrections of the discrepancies had been accepted by quality control.
