o Husky Products, Inc.
Subsidiary of Burndy Corporation Docket 99900356/81-01 NCTICE OF NONCONFORMANCE Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on August 3-7, 1981, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in accordance with NRC requirements as indicated below:
Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50 states:
" Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be accom-plished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.
Instructions, procedures, or drawings shall include appropriate quantita-tive or qualitative acceptance criteria for determining that important activities have been satisfactorily accomplished."
Nonconformances with these requirements are as follows:
A.
QC Manual Section XVI and QA Procedure QAP-120 requires Corrective Action Requests be issued requesting the action that has been taken or will be taken to prevent recurrence of discrepant conditions.
Contrary to the above, Corrective Action Requests have not been issued since January 1980, requesting preventative action for any Dis-crepancy Reports issued during that time period.
B.
QC Manual Section VIII states in part, all material, parts and com-ponents will be identified with tags and/or route cards affixed to the item or group of items.
This identification method will apply from receiving throughout the manufacturing cycle.
Contrary to the above, several parts were identified in the shop that did not have a route card or I.D tag affixed.
